Municipal Police Employees' Civil Service Board
The Municipal Police Civil Service Board consists of five members appointed by various apolitical sources (see table below) for four-year staggered terms. Board members are authorized pursuant to the Louisiana Revised Statutes Act 84-164 Section 4 and revised by Act 09-418. Their responsibilities include approving the classification and compensation plans, reviewing and acting upon all rules and regulation proposed for adoption, amendment, or repeal in accordance with Section 3 of Act 84-164/09-418, and holding hearings on employee appeals regarding disciplinary action. The Board meets at its discretion, though usually on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:00 pm in the Courtroom of City Hall, located at 3101 E. Causeway Approach in Mandeville, Louisiana.
