Municipal Employees’ Civil Service Board
The Municipal Employees’ Civil Service Board consists of five members appointed by various apolitical sources (see table below) for four-year staggered terms. Board members are responsible for holding hearings on employee appeals regarding disciplinary action and other quasi-judicial duties that may be required under the rules developed pursuant to Article IV, Section 4-05 of the Mandeville Home Rule Charter, which is authorized by the Louisiana Constitution of 1974 Article VI, Section 5. The Board meets at its discretion, though usually on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:00 pm in the Courtroom of City Hall, located at 3101 E. Causeway Approach in Mandeville, Louisiana.
