For the first time since its historical release in 1992, Jose Maria Cundin brings to the Northshore community, the unique limited edition engraving by hand of THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE presented along with the photographic report of this remarkable accomplishment. The engraving can be viewed with the photographic report of the process at Mandeville City Hall (3101 East Causeway Approach) June 19, 2013 - July 12, 2013. John Biguenet wrote these lines for the Edition: "....."In repeating in exacting detail the courageous and hopeful calligraphy of this great manifesto, in carving the lines, the arcs and the flourishes of these noble words and signatures we hope that our artistry has honored both the United States and the principles upon which this great country was founded".

Cundin, a well known artist, who has been showing his paintings and sculptures in New Orleans for more than 45 years, founded Millennia III, a Fine Arts Press. He designed, directed and produced this limited edition engraving of The Declaration of Independence. The words were engraved on a brass plate by Perico Azpiazu, renowned engraver of the Basque Country (Spain). The Edition was printed on hand made paper specially formulated by Villabona, old established artisans in the Basque Country and the late Maestro Arturo Garcia, of the prestigious Taller Mayor of Madrid, pulled the prints. This heirloom edition is in many public and private collections including; The United States Congress, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Washington DC, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Marine Corp University, Quantico, Va. and Princeton Library, among others.*
